Hvar from Split: four day trips by catamaran and boat compared
Updated October 10, 2026 · 4 min read
If you want a day on Hvar from Split, GetYourGuide lists two catamaran cruises with almost the same programme, a cheaper all-inclusive tour that adds Šolta, and an expensive boat tour with only six reviews. The catamaran cruise to Hvar, Brač and the Pakleni Islands lasts 10 hours, costs €95 and has 4.4 stars from 2,171 reviews. The all-inclusive tour with Šolta costs €84.15, lasts 9.5 hours and has 4.8 stars from 1,737 reviews; it is our pick.
Four day trips compared
| Tour | Hours | From | Rating | What the description names |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Catamaran cruise to Hvar, Brač and Pakleni | 10 | €95 | 4.4 (2,171) | Catamaran, lunch and drinks on board, Hvar town, Pakleni Islands, Brač |
| Hvar, Brač and Pakleni with Split/Trogir in the title | 10 | €95 | 4.3 (440) | Almost the same description as the cruise above |
| All-inclusive tour with Hvar, Pakleni, Brač and Šolta | 9.5 | €84.15 | 4.8 (1,737) | Catamaran, 3 swim stops, guided visit of Hvar, free food and drinks |
| Boat tour to Brač, Hvar and Šolta with swimming | 10 | €140 | 4.8 (6) | Swimming at the Pakleni Islands, military tunnels on Brač |
The catamaran cruise with the biggest review base
The description promises a full-day catamaran ride along the Adriatic coast with lunch and drinks on board, taking in Hvar town, the Pakleni Islands and the island of Brač. GetYourGuide marks it as a bestseller. It says nothing about swim stops or a guided visit, so ask before you book. At 4.4 it sits clearly below the 4.8 of the tour with Šolta and costs €10.85 more.

The all-inclusive tour with Šolta
Here the description names three swim stops, a guided visit of Hvar and free food and drinks, along with Hvar, the Pakleni Islands, Brač and Šolta. It is €10.85 cheaper than the €95 cruise, half an hour shorter and, with 1,737 reviews, almost as well backed. Per hour it works out at just under €9, against €9.50 for the other. Which food and drinks are meant, the short description does not say.

The same cruise under another title
The listing with Split/Trogir in its title carries an almost identical description, the same duration and the same €95, but only 4.3 stars from 440 reviews. Whether it is really the same trip the listings do not show; it is a separate listing with its own reviews. If you want the €95 cruise, take the one with the 2,171 reviews.
The €140 boat
The boat tour to Brač, Hvar and Šolta costs €140 for 10 hours, which is €14 an hour against just under €9 on the catamarans. Its description names swimming at the Pakleni Islands and the military tunnels on Brač, which appear in none of the other three. The 4.8 stars come from six reviews and are no verdict; here you pay for the route, not for proven quality.
If you do not want a whole day
All four trips last 9.5 to 10 hours, so expect a full day on the water. The five-island tours with the Blue Cave visit Hvar only as one stop among several. If you want a boat to yourselves, the private Brač and Hvar tour costs €1,000 per group of up to 10 people, lasts 9 hours and has a single review.
Our recommendation
Book the all-inclusive tour with Šolta: cheaper than the €95 catamaran cruise, better rated and explicitly described with three swim stops and a guided visit. Take the €95 cruise only if lunch and drinks in the description are enough for you and the 2,171 reviews matter to you. You will find more destinations among the island tours from Split.
